[Food Trip] Infinitea - tea goodness review

Last night my co-workers and I went for a food trip after our duty. I was actually the one who craves for sweet cold milk tea, perfect for this cold weather *grins* .

Milk tea is one of the popular thirst quencher these days. Cold milk mixed with freshly brewed loose-leaf tea. It's refreshing taste will forget all your worries and will have the chillaxing moment.

One of the guaranteed milk tea cafe today is Infinitea. Their teas have different variants raging from cold to hot, frappe to iced, tea to coffee and level of sugar. You can also opt to include in your drinks their yummy add-ons. They also offers fruit teas and smoothies.

I decided we go to Infinitea - Makati Branch. Thank God my friend JC agreed, well we are both Infinitea fans. It's branch is just near from our office. We've been regular customers since we checked it out.

Infinitea have more the 13 branches nationwide. The branch we chilling out was located in P. Burgost street corner Valdez st, infron of Friends & Neighbors Restaurant, near St Peter & Paul Parish Church and A. Venue mall. They serve us our delicious drinks with free Wi-fi Access. Opens from Sunday to Thursday (9am-10pm) and Friday to Saturday (9am-11pm).

Their drinks rages from 50php -  105php depending on what type of drink you want, add-on or size. Their place upstairs has nice ambiance great for chilling out after work and not to mention friendly services from the owners and crew.

Ms Kite and JC choosing from the wide variety of their drinks.

I ordered Strawberry Cream Oreo frappe, yummy mix of my fave crushed oreo cookies and cream with the sweetness of strawberry, and I added Nata de coco (all my faves)  I think it cost 115php (I forgot hehe ) already large size.

These are their new flavors <3 Oh look! infinitea mug! by availing the loyal card and complete ten stickers to get the free mug!

Their wall of their frequent customers, we also wrote their but I think it was already at the bottom due to no other space for other notes :)

Health benefits and acts of the teas

Heres our pics when we are chilling out at Infinitea Makati after long day hard work from the office.

[entertainment] The Lone Ranger - kemosabe

The other day after my rest from work, my mom and I watched another movie, The Lone Ranger! I really like Johnny Depp and all of his wacky roles.

After I rest from my night duty, I checked the cinema schedules that are available. I have checked Greenbelt 1, but unfortunately only "Pacific Rim" and Ms. Eugune Domingo's "Tuhog" are only showing at their cinemas. So I checked SM MegaMall cinema, and great we will make it on 9:30 pm showing.

The only thing that I don't like is the price of the tickets, soaring high up to 200-300 php depending on whether in 2D or 3D format, provincial SM cinemas have lower prices, well what do you expect to cities here near Manila. I have no choice, the time and area is convenient to my place, so we bought 2 tickets scheduled at 9:30pm in 2D costs 220 php each.

But before we hit the cinema 5, we stopped by Mcdonalds to grab some snacks.

We entered the cinema 5 near 9:15, its free seating so I need to get to the best spot. Luckily this is the cinema with lazy boy chair. I really love that couch. It is so comfortable, my mom actually slept in the couch during the screening time. All the lazy boy couch are full even though it is near the screen.

Lots of movie trailers were previewed as usual like the "wolverine", I will definitely going to wait for that.
On to the movie!!

The Lone Ranger is about a masked Texas Ranger, John Reid played by Armie Hammer and his trusty Comanche Native American Indian warrior, Tonto played by Johnny Depp, narrates their exploits to deliver justice and pacify the corrupt in the American Old West. Produced and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films.

The movie is action packed film that takes you to the old West, in which train transport is still building. John Reid (the lone ranger) is a man believes in the power of law have the strong sense of justice naturally flowing in his veins, but most of the times in his clueless ways, while Tonto, have the smart  and witty personality in a very unusual approach, which makes them a great mix-up.

I love the movie, one is that Johnny Depp was in there and second, it was one of the heck of an adventure.
They even put the lone ranger’s famous line "Hi-Yo, Silver! Away!" at the end but as usual, Tonto crashed his trip.

And Tonto usually referred to Reid as kemo sabe ("Ke-mo sah-bee"), which he raised as “wrong brother”.

[entertainment] Pacific Rim - drift into my head

Today my mom and I watched "Pacific Rim" at Cinema 2 Greenbelt 1, Makati City. I have chosen greenbelt 1 because their cinema only costs 130 php, unlike other cinema you would pay 200 or more (well provincial area costs lesser amount).

After buying tickets, we went to wendy's cause my mom wants to have coffee and I want to have fries.

Then we went inside the cinema to watch the movie few minutes before the time. I pop in my popcorn, fries and coffee while watching the trailers shown. There are so many new great movies to watch out for! One will I will wait is the "Percy jackson and the sea monsters", about demi-Gods fights for God chronos, " The Hobbit : The Desolation of Smaug", sequel to the first hobbit movie and prequel to the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, "300 : Rise of the Empire" and so on.

After 131 minutes running time, I can describe the whole movie in one word, awesome. This movie filled my visual hunger. I just cant imagine how long and the efforts by the graphics animators to give life to the colossal Godzilla like and cool robots with their breath taking destructive scenes.

Pacific Rim is about in the year 2020 and more, in where "kaiju" , huge monster -dinosaurs like, destroys and wiping out mankind, but humans developed big robots controlled by minds of the pilots, referred to as "jaeger", german for hunter , hunted those kaiju and defend for their race.

Pacific Rim is a sci-fi action packed movie, written by Guillermo Del Toro, starring Charlie Hunman, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Robert Kazinsky, Max Martini and Ron Perlman, and, produced and distributed by Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros, released into cinemas last July 12, 2013.

This movie is definitely worth watching for, I am a bit into robots so I definitely recommend this movie. I think it would be awesome to watch this in 3D right? :D

[art] My cross stitch dilemma

One of my dilemmas is choosing the perfect gift for my friends’ birthday, especially for my close friends.  Like what happened to my close friend/BFF Zenkie. Zenkie is the type of a guy whom I think have gotten all the great things in life. (Oh zenkie spare my life when you finish reading this post :D ) I was like, “so what the heck would I give to him?!”. I didn't managed to give him anything on his birthday, last year so I guess I ought to give something special, a gift enough for 2 years birthday (haha). After brainstorming for a month and reviewing what he likes, I ended up to personal and customizing things. Well he do like himself very much, one of the narcissist guy I’ve known (oh please spare my life :D ). Well I think I can do craft or some sorts  of things, so I thought of something with his pic, and so again light bulb! Cross stitch came up.

I have already given personalized cross stitch to my friends during my college days and have the patience of counting all those small stitches.

This is the finished cross stitch I made, I forgot to take  pictures of it with frame. After I got it from the framing services, put it on a cute gift bag then gave it to him. (hehe)

This is how I did it... First you need a picture that you want to make... then went on to this site
http://www.myphotostitch.com . My last pattern was made from cross stitch programs I have during college days but unfortunately it was deleted :( so I opt to use online pattern makers.

This is the site, click the "Try it free" button

Just follow these 3 easy steps in the form below:
1. Select the image from your computer
2. Select how big you want the pattern to be and how many thread colors you want to use
I followed the size and count, 150 stitches x 119 stitches (10.7 x  8.5" ) the final cross stitch will gave you as size of a short bond paper , I used 40 thread colors to achieve the colors of the pic (I want it to be near the pic as much as possible)

3. Click 'Submit'. Your pattern will be ready in a few seconds.

Then download the pattern, it is on pdf format (I used different picture for this example on the site)

my pattern looked liked this, I already joined all the patterns here. When I printed the pattern, the printing shop just directly printed it from the pdf file

After the pattern, I brought all my materials and head on the stitching!
40 threads colors sure is pain the wallet. I used dmc threads and white aida cloth with small holes it in (here dmc threads is 15 pesos per thread color) . I consumed almost 1 month cause my procrastination consumed me and I also have work.
I cheated hehe I marked the same symbols then stitch stitch :D

Almost there....

Again... almost there.....

You can only appreciate the pic when looking it from afar...

Well I think he liked my gift and appreciated my "talent" (haha) he said he hanged it in his room. I'm relieved that he was happy, even though I already had the idea he knew what I'm doing and what I'm going to give to his birthday. But what about for Christmas...? or for his next birthday?! uhg...

[TUTORIAL] How I Dye my wigs

Aside from my usual normal boring life, I was engaged in not so usual hobby… cosplay!

Cosplay or “costume play” refers to as the participants of the event engage in role-plays whether from anime, comics, movies or other genres in costume.  This hobby became popular since early 90’s where star trek, star wars and western series are popular.

Cosplayers like me, take part in this event is because this is how we showcase our love and adoration for the character more than just by drawing or painting them. Creators will be very proud of if their characters will be brought to life, it shows that their works are appreciated and loved by the audiences.

My love for the characters from my favorite series brought me into another level of creativity. I learned a lot from different cosplayers from their websites on how they prepare their costumes and act on the characters on the event. They say that cosplaying is very expensive hobby, well actually yes, this is very expensive, however if by being resourceful, I’ll tell you can save lot money…. Another budget for new costume!

That is why today I will show you how I dye my wigs.

Materials to prepare:

white wig, permanent markers (orange and yellow) or sharpee, 100 ml of water and 70% alcohol 250ml and 500ml.

Pull out the sponge thingy inside the markers and pour the ink out by squirting it with the alcohol (under the basin) or put the sponge thingy inside the bottle of the alcohol and shake.
I used a lot of alcohol because markers are alcohol based and i just added water to neutralize the solution.
Mix them all up in the basin and then put the wig.

with orange and yellow permanent markers

with only Yellow permanent marker

I have waited 6 hours, making sure the ink will stick on the wig.

It will look like this before washing with water, I used here with only yellow marker and alcohol-water solution.

DO NOT FORGET to wash the wig with water to wash out the excess ink on the wig, especially on the net of the wig, we don't want to have ink dripping out on our head.

After washing out and dying out by natural air ( I did not use hair dryer, cause I dont have mine right now and Im afraid of the fibers falling out :D )

I used this wig for my Seri Awashima of project K cosplay. Im still noob for styling hehe

yeah the net is showing up heheh

Happy Cosplaying! :D
