Today I went to the most anticipated Book signing event to young readers and aspiring writers.
"Diary ng Panget" by haveyouseenthisgirl , book signing event held last aug. 31, 2013, at National Bookstore SM Mall of Asia.
Yesh! I sooo love the story after I read the first book, I was not able to read the story at Watt pad, I think those were the times I was reading 50 shades of grey e-book, sherlock holmes books and other chick lit stories at Watt pad. But I was able catch up and bought the series freshly after they were delivered to the NBS.
I brought my book 2 and 3 DNP (someone borrowed my book 1 and was never returned, so I bought another book 1). I even got her a gift :D (unfortunately I forgot to take pic of it, it was a beanie hat with long bunny ears and ears flap from hatah hatah)
These are my books with ms Denny's autograph inside and a poster given after registration.
I arrived at around 11 am, and behold, a long line for registration. Registration started at 11 am, they will put red sticker with a number (mines already #97) and green sticker for the other books you brought. Only books brought from National Bookstore was allowed for registration, either with receipt or with price tag (any day the books brought) and no book, no registration policy.
Before the event starts...
Ms Denny arrived at the event and started the book signing. I was in the line outside the store! I was not able to hear her speech. The other people with 2hundred plus and above stayed at the back of the chairs (first 40). We with the numbers 41 to 100 should be at the back of the chairs, it was unfair to us, crowd control was not enough.
The admins entertained the fans with Q & A based on the stories (with prizes for correct answers), pick-up lines and jokes.
And finally I was able to meet her <3
Diary ng Panget was a story about a young girl named Eya, with a bit low esteem on her looks, struggling to survive for her daily living and her studies in a prestigious University, surrounded with rich, famous and gorgeous schoolmates. Her life is fine in a peaceful manner, until she entered the Willford Academy and met a lot of different kinds of persons and Cross Sanford, and her world went upside down.
The whole story is very funny and refreshing to read, and I promise you will be hooked up to their kilig moments. I can't wait for the other books! for 150php each, I definitely collect them all.
Viva Films also made a contract to ms Denny to have her story hit to the big screen, hopefully next year 2014. The book 4 of DNP will be out at sept. 14-15 at SMX Manila Book fair event, along with her manga adaptation of her stories "Voiceless" and "She Died".
